In addition to the graph/explanation pictured below, the video “Mind Your Step,” is another twist on explaining the 3D illusion of street paintings. Not an actual painting, this street art was created from a montage of photographs.
Hard-to-find, simple, visual explanations of how to construct a working anamorph.

Stunning examples of their aerosol photorealism
In their short working partnership, British duo BEST | EVER have gained worldwide recognition for their unique interpretive depictions of the human form. Individually they began their careers as “graffiti writers” but since meeting in late 2008, have developed a more classical style together that combines intricate aerosol photorealism with traditional painterly techniques.
BEST | EVER execute sensitive subject matters such as death, disease, and mental illness with soul and wisdom that belies their youth. Collected here are a handful of standout wall and canvas pieces from their portfolio.

Human Statue of Liberty - Eighteen thousand men from Camp Dodge, Iowa aligned themselves into this formation. You can easily see the seventeen men in front. Hard to imagine that 12,000 of the total 18,000 were assembled just in the flame alone of the torch.
Anamorphosis Art by Bernard Pras

Bernard Pras is a French artist who recreates iconic paintings through the use of everyday objects. Using a concept called anamorphosis, Pras builds a picture in relief by stacking random objects on a piece of canvas or photograph. The artist carefully selects materials that enhance certain elements of the original work, allowing the 3D renderings to add an extra layer of depth to familiar paintings, photos, and images.
